Perfect for wet felting, dry needle felting, stuffing, crafting, & many more fibre arts projects. Each year, our animals are shorn for their health & comfort, & we make sure nothing goes to waste. Whether you’re creating needle-felted figures, richly textured wet-felted fabrics, or simply experimenting with natural fibres, our fleece will bring authenticity & purpose to your project.
We run Huacaya alpacas, pure East Friesian sheep, pure coloured Finnsheep as well as a cross that we’re working on improving the fleece of. Our East Friesian X Finn sheep is an exciting project that we hope to be able to offer the wool from in 2026.
Every fleece is carefully skirted & prepared so it can be transformed into something wonderful. The motivation to supply hobbyists & fibre artists comes from not wanting to waste anything we produce. We know from experience not all fleece is equal. It’s no secret that some of the best fleeces go for milling & the spinners are looked after with the longest, finest staples. What happens to the rest? The fleece that’s not quite long enough or fine enough is perfect for ethically minded makers.
Fleeces are sent raw, without having been scoured. They will contain some dust & dirt from our farm. Whilst we do a thorough job skirting, there will still be some VM (vegetable matter).
